Your FAQs on advanced domain security services
You’ll undoubtedly have many questions as you search for a DMARC security service. Take a look at some of our frequently asked questions here.
How do I secure my domain?
There are a number of ways to secure your domain, including authentication using SPF records and DKIM. Whilst these go some way to securing your domain, it’s better to have a managed service to know that your protection is configured correctly and it is being proactively monitored.
Does my domain need protection?
Yes. If left unprotected, your domain could be used to impersonate you, leading to identity theft and the potential for your domain to be used to harm others.

Is email security configuration worth it?
Yes, securing your domain-level email configuration is absolutely worth it. It protects against phishing, spoofing, and breaches that cost businesses millions annually. Our service delivers secure configuration of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to protect your business.
What is the difference between SSL and domain protection?
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protection encrypts the connection between a website domain and a device. Domain protection covers the domain as a whole, including its use for email and other business communications.
What is DKIM?
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) signs outgoing emails with a private key to verify authenticity and integrity. Your mail server hashes headers/body and signs it; recipients validate against the public key in your DNS TXT record (via selector), any tampering invalidates it. The key benefit of this is to prevent spoofing/phishing and better email deliverability.
What is SPF?
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) verifies emails come from authorized servers by listing approved IPs/mail services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) in your domain’s DNS TXT record. Receiving servers check the sender’s IP against it, if there is no match then the email is rejected. Setting up SPF is a key configuration to prevent spammers from sending emails on behalf of your domain.
What is DMARC?
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) builds on SPF and DKIM to provide a comprehensive policy for handling emails that fail authentication checks.
What is MTA-STS?
MTA-STS (Mail Transfer Agent-Strict Transport Security) ensures that emails are transmitted securely over TLS (Transport Layer Security).
