What does CrowdStrike do?
CrowdStrike Falcon is a leading cloud cybersecurity platform that protects endpoints, provides insights and sends immediate alerts if there is a cyber threat to your company.
How is CrowdStrike MDR different from traditional antivirus?
Traditional antivirus primarily relies on known malware signatures. CrowdStrike uses behavioural analytics, threat intelligence and real-time monitoring to identify known and emerging threats. CrowdStrike Falcon doesn’t simply scan files, it detects suspicious behaviour.
What is a CrowdStrike Windows sensor?
The CrowdStrike Windows sensor is the software agent that is installed on a Windows device to connect it to the CrowdStrike Falcon security platform.
The agent monitors the device activity for signs of cyber threats and reports back immediately to the CrowdStrike platform. The potential threat is immediately assessed and if necessary, immediate action can be taken.
Is CrowdStrike Falcon a SIEM?
Yes. CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM is a full SIEM offering. Security data is captured and analysed, and live threat intelligence is incorporated to improve detection of cyber threats and breaches. The CrowdStrike SIEM product is part of CloudTech24’s MDR Elite service that provides a complete unified Security Operations Centre (SOC) fully monitored and managed 24/7/365.
