Senior Projects Engineer – UK

Key responsibilities

Project Scoping and Planning

• Provide technical input to pre-sales, including discovery sessions, effort estimates, risks, assumptions and dependencies.
• Produce high and low level designs, migration plans, cutover runbooks and rollback plans for each project.
• Break projects down into tasks, milestones and resource requirements within HaloPSA, following the CloudTech24 project process.

Project Delivery

• Lead and carry out hands-on technical delivery of projects such as: tenant-to-tenant and Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations; Intune and Windows Autopilot deployments, including device migrations from legacy management; Entra ID, Conditional Access and identity redesigns; client onboarding into CloudTech24 platforms and security baselines; Azure infrastructure deployments and server or file share migrations to the cloud.
• Coordinate engineers, third parties and client stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Plan and run cutovers, including out-of-hours activities, user communications and hypercare.
• Identify and escalate scope changes, risks and blockers early, with clear options and impact.

Quality, Security and Handover

• Ensure all deliverables meet CloudTech24 technical standards and security baselines, including MFA, Conditional Access and secure configuration.
• Produce accurate as-built documentation, diagrams and handover packs for the Service Desk and Operations teams.
• Run post-project reviews and feed lessons learned back into templates, runbooks and standards.

Leadership and Collaboration

• • Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues arising during or after project delivery.
  • Mentor engineers on migration techniques, Intune and project delivery practices.
  • Work closely with Sales, Service Delivery, Operations and Security to ensure projects are supportable from day one.
  • Contribute to reusable project templates, scripts and automation to improve delivery consistency.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• At least one current Microsoft Associate certification from the following, held at the point of application: Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700).
• Proven experience leading technical projects end to end within an MSP or multi-client environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and Entra ID, including Conditional Access and hybrid identity.
• Strong Intune experience, including Autopilot, compliance and configuration policies, app deployment and security baselines.
• Demonstrable experience delivering tenant-to-tenant and cross-platform migrations, including coexistence and cutover planning.
• Confidence presenting technical plans to client stakeholders and managing expectations through delivery.
• Strong documentation skills, including designs, runbooks and handover materials.

Desirable

• Further certifications such as SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator Associate), or more than one of MD-102, AZ-104 and AZ-700.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration and migrations.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure, networking and Global Secure Access or other ZTNA solutions.
• PowerShell scripting for migration, reporting and automation tasks.
• Experience with HaloPSA, CIPP and GDAP-based delegated administration.

Key Performance Indicators

• Project Delivery: Projects delivered on time, within scope and within estimated effort.
• Delivery Quality: Low volume of post-handover incidents attributable to project work.
• Documentation: Complete as-built documentation and handover accepted by Service Delivery for every project.
• Client Satisfaction: Positive client feedback on project delivery and communication.
• Estimating Accuracy: Actual effort tracking close to scoped effort, with variances raised early.
